Baby on the Way!
Congratulations Corey, Jason and Audra Wimmer who are expecting baby No. 2 in mid-December. Wishing you all the best for a happy and healthy pregnancy.
For those outside of the U.S. and Canada, Corey is the daughter of Dave & Moira Hair, Moira is the daughter of Jean & Jack Porteous, and Jack is the late-great Jessie Gallan’s son. This branch of our clan resides in Pennsylvania. Jessie and her husband Johnnie (pictured, with Jack) were the sponsors for my parents coming to the States back in the early ’60s.

That she was Corey. I can still hear her voice. But I wish I could taste her fruit dumpling! God, I loved that! I wonder how many children measured their height to her’s over the years. I think I may have been ten when I finally topped her. And in all the years she knew me (from my birth of course), she would always call me Johanna and my mom Joanne. We’d just answer and think to ourselves "that’s Jessie."A great lady with a wonderful personality. We were all lucky to have her for so long.
